new paintings and deadlines

Hard at work....I've been so busy with all the work getting our home ready to sell, that I've barely had time to paint....well paint art. ;) Since I need to have some new paintings finished by the end of the month, I realized that I had to get some time in the studio today. The house prep will have to wait! 😉😄

Art + gratitude

Haven't had time to paint in a couple of weeks....that's what happens when you're getting your house ready to put on the market. The other day, I just had to make some time to throw a little paint on a canvas..so I started a new painting so I wouldn't worry about ruining an almost finished painting.

Yesterday my organizer was here...we got the living room cleaned out somewhat and moved a solid wood bookcase into the garage to open up the room a bit. Also moved a huge IKEA bookcase out of our breakfast nook and sorted through all the stuff that had been inside.

After she left, I hung one of my paintings over this chair in the living room (where the wood bookcase used to be), which is my doggie's favorite spot. She does not like having her picture taken. Lol!  Making progress....still much left to do...

...and I'm so very thankful I convinced my hubby I couldn't possibly do this all by myself (I'm organizationally challenged).

Now I wonder why I didn't hire her sooner! She is a God-send for sure! Feeling confident now that with her help I can have everything cleared out, the house staged, and ready to list on time.

Busy bee....er, artist these days!

Lots going on here....both art and life wise! We are getting our house ready to sell and boy let me tell ya it's been a huge amount of work! It's left me pretty much no time to paint...hence my silence around these parts lately. ;)

I have had another local show since we last spoke and I actually shot a little video for ya {if you can't see the video, click here to watch on YouTube}.

Another thing I've got coming soon is........wearables featuring my paintings!!! Some teaser pics below...

And y'all know how much I loooooooove scarves....so of course I have to have some of those too! :D

So just hang tight and let me get my house sold and find a new one {with a bigger studio space} and I'll be back in full force with lots of new art and other wonderful goodies for y'all!

Artist Showcase this Thursday, March 5th

Join me this week for the First Thursday Artist Showcase in Wilsonville, Oregon at Trudy's Living Room…a sweet little furniture store and design center right off of I-5. It's on March 5th from 5:00-8:00 pm. There will be live kick up your feet music from the talented "Cobblestone" Celtic Band! I'm also going to try to do a little painting demo as well, so please do stop by.

Tonight's the BIG night! Art for Portland's First Thursday!

TONIGHT's the big night!!!!! It's finally here!!!! Come to my art show opening at JoLa Cafe on SW Corbett this evening. I'll be there from 6-8pm {ish}. They have a special dinner menu just for tonight, so you can see my art and have dinner too. Win/win! Hope to see y'all there!!!
