A bit about my creative process...
My process is intuitive, which means my paintings do not start out with a formed idea. When I walk into my studio at the beginning of the day, I turn on some music and spend time getting lost in the melodies. I find that this helps to spark my creative flow.
Then as I feel moved by the music, I pick up some color on my brush and start to layer colors across my canvas.
As I layer color upon color, each mark I make informs the next. I continue this process...this dance with the work…adding more and more layers…until when I step back from the painting and I feel it no longer feel it needs anything else. When my soul is at peace when I look at the work and it draws me in....it's depths begging to be explored, I know it's finished.
