Hey y'all....just wanted to let you know that I had to shut down my Etsy shop temporarily tonight. Our iMac went crazy and now it won't boot up no matter what my hubby does (posting from our PC laptop which is now known as Aiden's computer LOL). He ran the repair disk on it and it found some hardware issues. We have everything backed up (thankfully), but I'm unable to print art prints until we get the iMac fixed. Hoping to be able to take it in the the Mac store in the morning. Sure hope they can get it all fixed quickly.
My Granny's still about the same for all those asking. Thanks so much for your sweet comments and your prayers! I really appreciate them soooooo much! I'm doing about the same as well...I was feeling a bit better, but now with this whole computer thing....well it just kinda put me back at square one.
Anyways, hopefully things will get back to some semblance of normal around here soon.....xoxo
I haven't been feeling very talkative in the past week or so. I think that maybe it has something to do with the scare my Granny gave us the end of last week and over the weekend. She seems to be doing somewhat better, but its really just a wait and see....and with her in Florida and me all the way up in Oregon....well, it's hard. I can't just jump in my car and run over to visit. Your prayers would be much appreciated.
I'm including a couple of pics from my and Aiden's little outing yesterday. I posted a pic from our lunch at Quizno's yesterday and afterwards I needed a recharge so we went over next door to Starbucks for a coffee for me and a chocolate milk for Aiden. Then we went to the library for videos and books. And the other pics are of a new painting I'm working on and my new easel. It's not the one I
posted about earlier....they are giving me a refund on that one (still haven't seen it on my credit card). And even though the refund hasn't come through yet, I decided to buy one locally because my back just couldn't take hunching over my work table anymore.
Hopefully I'll feel back to my old self in the next few days. I just feel kind of introspective at the moment....as I've probably mentioned before, when things get tough or stressful I have a tendency to just withdraw inward, which means I disappear for a while. I've become okay with that....it's how God made me and it's how I best deal with stuff. I've been talking to Him quite often this week and that always helps more than anything....wrote some in my prayer journal, did some sketches, and worked a bit on the new painting last
night...her face and hair are pretty much done and now I need to work on the rest of the piece. I already know what it needs to be finished...it came to me while driving to pick up Aiden from his last day of VBS last week, so it's just a matter of doing it.
There have been many bright spots in my week...of course one of them being lunch out with my little guy yesterday....all your sweet comments on my "
Etsy Art Goodness" video (thank you!!!), a wonderful surprise package from the
sweet Suz (Thanks so much Suz!!! It really made my day and came just when I needed
some joy :D ), and snagging another one of
Jenn's sweet
Lulette houses last night (WOO HOO!), then some time to do a little sketching and painting. My house may be a mess right now, but oh well....I'll get around to it eventually. ;)

I'm hoping to be back to my chipper, rambling self soon....I've got lots of ideas for new videos and other fun stuff, but just not feeling in the right frame of mind to do anything about it. Just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know what's going on behind the scenes....shipping for items that were purchased from the shop update got delayed a few days (you know how life sometimes seems to get in the way of your best intentions), but all packages went out first thing yesterday morning. So if you were waiting on a package from me, it's finally on it's way. Thanks so much for being soooo patient and understanding!
And I have a new video I'll probably be posting either later today or tomorrow....no it's not a painting video since I've had no time to paint lately with Aiden being at home for the summer. He's actually at vacation bible school for four mornings this week and I've been using that time to frantically scurry around doing errands that I need to do that I can't do with him in tow.
Oh and there was a whole fiasco with the new easel and it's a long sorted story, so I'll leave it for another post....but let's just say I was not happy with what they sent me and I've since requested a refund....so more on that later.

Well it looks like this nasty icky cold thing is finally on its way out! YEA! The cough is still hanging on, but I'm finally starting to get some good rest at night and beginning to feel like my old self again....actually felt up to painting today. :) I just wanted to make a really quick post to thank all of you for your get well wishes and prayers. They are soooooo appreciated!!
I've got some big announcements for y'all, but it'll have to wait 'til either later tonight or tomorrow. I got a lot of catching up still to do, so just keep your eyes peeled here in the next day or so. :D

Just wanted to let y'all know I'm feeling under the weather. Woke up with a sore throat, stuffy nose, and general feeling of ickiness. Thought it was just allergies since it is that time of year, but I took some medicine for that and it really didn't help. So I guess I'm coming down with something. Guess its God's way of telling me I gotta slow down and rest. Okay, okay, okay I hear ya. LOL! :D
Sitting at the computer for any length of time gets me kinda light headed right now. So I'm gonna go lie down again and hope that my hubby makes it home soon. xo
