Something I've been exploring through my sketching lately is stuffed animals...which I had quite the collection of as a girl. What did you/do you collect? What would you like to see me draw/paint next?
There's no school today and I woke up with a runny nose (seems I'm not going to avoid coming down with what the kiddo has), so we are taking it easy here today and staying home. Might venture out to the library later if I'm feeling up to it. I have a whole bunch of books on hold about watercolor technique, so I REALLY want to go pick those up. Watercolor is much different than acrylic paint and I find myself wanting to learn more about working with it. I love the feel of my sketches and want to preserve that more and I think watercolor will do that...and I have pan watercolor/gouache here at home just begging to be used more regularly. :)
Have a lovely weekend and I'll see y'all back here next week, ok? Ok! xoxo
I came down with a cold this weekend, so I'm having a hard time getting into the studio this morning. Thought I'd take a little time to sketch to warm myself up. :) Sure hope I can finish up the paintings I've been working on so I can start painting these! Gonna have another cup of tea now and get going. Happy Monday y'all!!!
since my last post, i've become quite obsessed with drawing these darling girls! i've done six of them and i'm working another one today (a pregnant mom that would be perfect for baby shower invites!}.
thank y'all SO much for your encouragement in my last post! i WILL be turning these new drawings into digital stamps {digi stamps} that can be used the same way you would use a rubber stamp, except you print it out instead of stamping the image with ink. :D
oh yeah,
and the card i made with the girl from my last post? it was a hit with aiden's teacher! yea! :!
sooooooooooo,
be on the lookout here for news on my new digi shop to be opening soon so you can buy some of these darling girls for yourself and make your own cards {and other such paper crafts}!
in the meantime....
i'll leave y'all with peeks of some of the girls...
some finished,
some still in progress.
