My studio was in chaos mode again, so I took time this afternoon to clean off my work table and move some clutter out of my studio (its just right next door in our living room so as to remind me I still need to do something with it).
I feel a studio purge coming on! What ever I find lurking that I haven't used in the past year or so is gonna have to go...otherwise I won't be able to move in here! Lol!
...well, technically not on the easel 'cause she's too small for that (5"x7"). She's my latest in the "daily blessing girls" series (new tentative name for this series...more on that later) and she's still in progress. I'm hoping to get her all finished and ready tomorrow.
I'm painting at least an hour or two almost every weekday (sometimes longer) and although I don't always finish a girl each day (things come up and of course I have bunches of other things wanting/needing my attention), its nice to be able to start and finish a painting as quickly as these girls are coming together. For my larger and more detailed work, it takes many, many hours to complete a painting. With these painting studies, they allow me to finish a piece quicker....so I don't have to charge as much for them since they don't have nearly as much work time invested in them.
I would love some feedback on these new paintings, so please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Thanks bunches y'all!!! I'm off to fix some lunch before my tummy gets really unhappy with me. ;) :D xoxo
Wasn't able to finish her the day I started her. Good thing cause this girl has a mind of her own! lol! :) hope y'all are having a fabulous Saturday! xoxo
just couldn't leave this piece alone 'til i got a little further on it. as soon as we finished up supper, i headed into my studio and kept at it until my mind felt like it could rest....otherwise, i imagine this painting would have kept me from getting any sleep! lol! hope y'all are having a fantastic weekend and out enjoying some sunshine!! xoxo
decided to spend time in the studio today....started a new painting {16"x20"} trying to warm myself up to pull out a bigger one today. while i'm waiting for these layers to dry, i thought i'd come do a quick pic post and share so i could participate in sneak peek friday. :)
