daily paintings

What I worked on today...maybe finished. I'll let them sit 'til tomorrow and then decide. These two just flowed out of me today...not always the case 'cause sometimes I get in the Spirit's way {don't we all?}

I'm trying to stay offline and just paint, take care of the fam & the daily things right now so I don't get so overwhelmed, but gosh I honestly miss y'all! When you stop by here, I'd love some feedback on my new work and to hear what you've been busy with this summer. Blessing & hugs!!!

painting+family is keeping me super busy this summer...with little time for much else.

on the plus side, i have bunches of paintings that will be ready to make their debut soon....lots of abstracts {several of the ones below have actually progressed even further now, but i don't have any new pics of 'em loaded on the 'puter yet}!

Figuring out what works

Summer is here again and with it comes changes. With the kiddo here all day, I need to figure out how I can fit in work time+still be available for him {my top priority}. So needless to say, I'm in a state of flux right now. I've realized that the next thing I need to focus on is painting....daily. A tall order, I know, but when I don't paint daily I have a really hard time focusing on things. It's not only a part of my "self-care", but it's also an important part of my spirit-care. You see, when I paint, I am spending time in God's presence...and when I start putting Him second, I don't function well. So, mornings will be spent in the studio {daily} worshipping, praying, & painting out my heart to my Papa, then the rest of my days can be spent with one of the other precious gifts He's given me...my family. :)

Many of you are asking about how I changed my eating habits to get in better health & lose weight...I will be posting a few things in the weeks to come so hold tight. Just have had too much going on life wise to be able to sit down and write down anything explaining the process....but it's coming.
