i'm back, but a bit out of sorts...

just wanted to peek in and let y'all know we made it back safe and sound. yesterday was spent doing laundry, picking up our puppy kayla (who is so very happy to be home), and trying to recuperate from our trip. today i'm feeling even more out of sorts....not sure what's going on, but i'm hoping i'll feel better tomorrow. so much to do and i'm so behind. please bear with me y'all. i'm doing the best i can at the moment. thanks so much for all your sweet comments and your prayers.

Waiting to go home...

We're all at the airport in Birmingham, AL waiting on our flight back home. Life has been crazy and this last week hasn't been any different. I just wanted to let y'all know I'm still hanging in there. Hoping to do a "catch up" post soon. God bless y'all!!! xo

Waiting to go home...

Online class signup & mini update

Aiden and I have been sick alot this winter and it has kept me from being online much....that along with the new puppy (see pic of Kayla in last post) and just life in general. I'm trying to get Aiden totally potty trained...meaning sleeping through the night without any accidents and it's taking a toll on me. I don't have much energy these days.....most nights I'm up a couple of times a night....more if he has any accidents. I feel like I'm constantly washing sheets & pjs! LOL!

Anyways...I have lots of news, but only time to share one little tidbit 'cause I gotta get back to work on some class samples for a class I'm teaching in Australia next year (more on that later). I'm finally accepting sign ups for a new round of the backgrounds and portraits classes. Click the link below for all the details and to sign up.

I'm thinking I may just have to do a video blog in order to do a brain dump of sorts.....so much going on and I'm finding it harder to write things down. Now if I could just manage a shower often enough then I may be camera ready one of the few times I have any energy these days.

I hope y'all haven't forgotten about me during my absence. I really miss my online buddies, but with only so much energy to go around these days, I'm having to be careful where I spend it. Speaking of energy, I'd better go take Kayla for her walk so she can get rid of some of hers. :) Much love to everyone! xoxo

Unexpected blog break...

Well y'all I had all these plans to post about all the things happening around here, art wise and otherwise, but time has just gotten away from me. Then for the last week, we've been dealing with a freak arctic blast of weather that has now dropped about 10 inches of snow on us as of last night and then got topped off with a layer of ice. Needless to say, we are now snowed in. We got out to enjoy it a little bit in the past week, but we've all been sick so we just ended up making ourselves feel worse. I think we're finally on the mend though, thank the Lord!

I just wanted to post to let everyone that was wondering know that I am okay, just busy with family, Christmas preparations, and general home/family stuff. I have very little time on the computer which leaves me no time to chat with online friends or reply to many emails. If you've been trying to get in touch, please be patient and I will get in touch when I can.

Just in case I don't make it back to blog land before the big day, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!!!! Looks like we might have a white one here in Oregon.
