More sketching daily...lilies

The last couple of days I've been meaning to pull out one of my many unused journals and sketch, but my hubby's been sick & my house was a mess...so you know what happened. Lol! ;) Today though, I was determined to get me and the kiddo out of the house...so I grabbed my journal, a few pens, and a couple of books to draw from and we were off. While Aiden's busy checking out a new play structure at a McD's we've never been to, I'm sketching away. Ahhhhhhhh! I feel so much better now. :D

Streching my creative muscles with a little doodling

Its been a hectic/full week with pretty much no creative time. And now today, when I actually have some time, I can't shift gears. Isn't that always the way it goes? Lol! Something I keep hearing inside my head over and over is that I need to get back to drawing daily. That this would keep my creative motivation going so that when I have that chunk of scheduled creative time, that I won't feel like the well has run dry.

So, I looked around the room for something that caught my eye...and it was the cute makeup bag I got a few months ago. The only paper and pen in reach was a napkin and one of my son's ball point pens, so I grabbed 'em and got to work. :D

It was fun to do just a simple quick sketch of an every day kind of item! I soooooo gotta do this more! Any one out there have something they do daily to keep their creative muscles fit? I wanna hear! Leave a comment (with a link if ya got one).

xoxo
